Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy can be integrated to Counselling to bring the best possible results. Counselling will allow us to work with the conscious part of the brain to explore the past and its impact on your current concerns. Counselling can help you to understand yourself and to develop self-acceptance. Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy, by contrast, will allow us to reach the subconscious part of the brain where old habits and negative beliefs can be entrenched, and to focus on solutions to positively move towards your desired future.

If appropriate and desired, Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy can be integrated to therapy to use deep relaxation and visualisation (hypnosis) to reduce anxiety and stress and help you to make the necessary positive changes to your life to achieve your goals. Integrating various approaches allows therapy to be personalised to you and your unique needs, and the important aspect of our work together will be our trusting relationship, based on empathy, acceptance, impartiality and honesty.
Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy is a complementary talking therapy that can help you to improve your current situation, to gain confidence and to achieve goals to move towards the future that you desire. As its name suggests, it focuses on solutions rather than problems. It highlights and increases your strengths and your resources, by helping you to control your thoughts, your feelings and your reactions. Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy is a modern form of hypnotherapy. It is based on on-going neuroscientific research and uses the proven techniques of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) to help you to find your own solutions based on what you want to achieve. It combines Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Hypnosis.
So... What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural and relaxing state of mind, where you remain constantly in total control. We all experience hypnotic states daily. A good example is getting absorbed in a good book or a good film and losing track of what is going on around us. In these moments, the attention of our subconscious mind is totally focused on the book or the film. We use that focused attention in Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy. During hypnosis, your mind will let go of its anxiety and will strongly focus on the beneficial goals and positive outcomes that you desire, consolidating the necessary steps that we will have discussed together during your sessions, changing therefore negative thoughts into positive thinking. Hypnosis is an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable experience, often referred to by clients as their favourite part of the sessions.
